Nightly prayers

The husband has once again objected to "nudie pics" of the child on the site, so I will quickly post something else so it isn't the main attraction when you pull up the blog. So, here are some cute things happening around here:

Lucas has started saying his nightly prayers. He is oh-so cute. He folds his hands and sometimes says "Dear God" then he isn't really sure what to say. I encourage him to say thank you for things. One night Josh said Luc said thank you for every toy in his eye sight. He has three dinosaur plaques above his bed, so several times we have heard "thank you for blue dinosaur. And green dinosaur. And red dinosaur." Other times he confuses night time prayers with the blessing and says the "God is Great" dinner blessing. Other nights it is just a bunch of jibberish. Oh well, I think God understands, even if we don't always!

Yesterday I asked Lucas what his favorite movie was and he replied "STAR WARS!!!" Oh be still my heart! On the same lines if you ask his full name he now says it is "Lucas Skywalker".

Tonight at dinner he turned to Josh and clinked his milk glass with Josh's and said "cheers daddy!" Josh chuckled and asked if Lucas had been drinking at the local pub with his buddies. We have never used this phrase with him, so clearly he picked it up at daycare. Guess they are practicing for all those toddler New Year's Eve parties they will be attending.

Finally Lucas has been a little exhibitionist this week. He keeps taking off his underwear and crying "look at my booty!!" Our friend Steele came over one night for a play date and both kids decided to strip to their undies to play. That's my boy--already charming the ladies out of their pants.

Well, it wouldn't take much charming to get her out of her pants - she loves to run naked through the house screaming "i'm neked, i'm neked". Hope that isn't a sign of times to come!
