Candy CRAZY

Here is my lollipop... And now I must run off...I am way too busy for you and your boring camera mommy. Castles to build, monsters to draw, and lots of candy to sneak out of the kitchen.

Moving on

Last Friday marked the last "official" summer day at our daycare. They celebrated by having an all school picnic and the stars aligned for Joshua and I to both be off work and able to attend. Good thing, because it was mass chaos. But Lucas and Alex seemed to have fun. It was very sad for me because Lucas is leaving my favorite teachers room. Mrs. Pat has been PHENOMENAL with the kids and Lucas has learned SO much. But with growth comes change, and for now as of Monday he is off to a new room with fresh beginnings. Hopefully his next year will help prepare him for Pre-K.

This is his band of hooligans. They are all so incredibly silly when they get together. Except for the one random kid on the very far right who looks as though he might be contemplating throwing his blunt tip scissors at me...that kid never smiles. Maybe he has bowel issues.

And the famed Mrs. Pat. She is so full of energy and life. We will miss her!!

Luc's latest art project

These pics loaded in reverse order (blogger is NOT my friend today!) and I can't seem to fix them no matter how much I rage at the computer, so oh well. But Lucas had to paint a birdhouse for school and I enjoyed watching him create his masterpiece. Finished project above, and below, his adorable look of concentration (he kept his tongue out the whole time). Notice the paint marks on his eyes and cheek. My kitchen table was lucky to survive the attack of the three year old with a paint brush. Thankfully, everything we own is old and worthless...I planned it that way (yeah, right).

Bathing Beauty

I know, I know...the long locks need to go. But he's just so scrumptiously adorable with his little rats tail and goldie lock curls that I can't bring myself to do it. This even after our waiter at dinner the other night called Alex a "she" about sixteen times (we are too polite to correct him...read between the lines, it means we were too embarrassed to speak up). I'm digging his grease lightning look in the tub, though. All he needs is a little leather jacket and a roll of smokes and he could join Travolta on stage. Gah...I love him so much! (Alex, not Travolta. I mean really, who could respect a man who agreed to star in not one, but three installations of "Look Who's Talking" and later followed that crapfest with Battlefield Earth!?)

I was scrapping with the gals and mentioned that we had picked a name for baby number three that started with the letter “M” (even though I am not pregnant, Josh and I still have fun speculating on girl names since we’ve had two opportunities to at least think about it!) Kristy B promptly emailed me this hilarious list of random “guesses” for baby M’s name.

I personally think there are several cute names in there...and several that would make my child sound like a porn star. Also some nice shout outs to things I love, and we all know I have a tendancy to name my children after my obsessions. Morphine would certainly go with Josh's career choice. Great guesses, but none of these was the name we had in mind...although Moss Chance is a little irrisistable =).
