Halloween 2008

For eight years running we have hosted our annual Halloween bash and this year it actually fell on All Hallows Eve--which made it more fun since we had a house full o' party guests and trick or treaters, too! I didn't find the time to carve a pumpkin this year (having two kids pretty much takes every moment of my time) but thankfully Scott showed up with one of his creations--the fabulous devil and "burning" pumpkins featured above--great job! We had the usual crowd turn out--coming in waves with the family types arriving early and the single party crowd coming rather late in the game. But we blared loud music, ate buckets of food, and downed jello shots throughout the evening. Here are some favorite shots of the night:
Steele was dancing her heart out--such a cute little bat princess! The kids had a blast playing together and for the most part got along great. Around nine (WAY past Luc's bedtime) he finally put himself to sleep he was so tired! But he had fun passing out candy, dancing, jumping on his bed with Nate (not with my approval), and running around like crazy all night. No telling how much candy he consumed...at one point I discovered he was "stashing" candy in his tricycle.
We had some great costumes--but of course I always love the Star Wars ones. The Galushas showed up as Pimpin' Han (posed above),Disco Leia and baby Cross Yoda. Other costumes included the Scooby Gang, the Joker, several Disney Princesses/Tinkerbell, the Austin Powers group, pirates, ladybugs, a nut sack (don't ask!), Malibu Barbie, Bruce Wayne, Disco prom dude and his last minute date, snow princesses, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (represented below), Tron characters, a "one night stand", Twister, and of course our 101 Chance Dalmatian family.

I have way too much make-up on. I don't think I could have dressed like that everyday.
