Shock and Awe...

My children just took a daytime nap together! They slept at the same time (each in their respective beds) for over two hours during the middle of a quiet fall day. If I seem like I am making a big deal out of nothing, well--you probably don't have two children. Since Alex was born, the only time their sleep schedules sync up have been the nighttime hours when (presumably) Josh and I would be in bed as well. Nap times have been on differing schedules, so it makes for a LONG afternoon of spit up, giggles, tantrums, and so on (don't get me wrong--I love it. But some days you are just WORN out and want a nice nap) And today was hopefully the first of many naps together! Too bad mommy didn't get advance notice of this amazing feat...she might have tried to catch a cat nap herself. Ahhh...maybe one day! (those of you who know how much I love sleep can't really be surprised that I made a whole POST out of this topic--seriously, if I could become a bear and hibernate for the winter, ya know I would!).

I'm jealous. Someone who won't be named decided SHE wasn't going to take a nap today. Sooo we are going to have a fun afternoon. But, hurray, the little fellow took about a long one. He needed it after being up so much last night cutting teeth.

oh the b-m household is jealous too! we are in total "giving up the nap for good" mode. we haven't had a toddler nap on the weekend for a month. hope both naps happens again when you can enjoy it!

Well it could be worse. You slept at night (with no daytime naps) and your brother slept during the day (and stayed awake at night) when he was an infant (and your father traveled) so I felt like I never had any sleep!! Obviously it DOES get better since you eventually got to the point of wanting to sleep all day (as a teen and beyond) and stay up all night.
