In the retail world they refer to it as "Black Friday," but around our household it is always purple and gold for the LSU tigers. Too bad they lost, but yet again it really didn't make a dent in our day as tailgating was a blast. (I unfortunately had to work so missed most of the activities, but Josh was kind enough to get lots of pictures for me!)
Above, Josh and Vic. Josh had his usual fun (although thankfully this year did NOT involve any throwing of hotdogs or vomiting) and even made it on the channel four news--he was interviewed about our tailgating festivities and food. They also featured quite a few of our "props" including out new 8 foot blow up Mike the tiger and our huge flag poles that proudly displayed the "Beat Arkansas" flag (it is interchangeable for each team we play).
The crew arrived before dark to get in line and wait to get the perfect tailgating spot. Above, Jenn and Scott waiting in the car. Below, Josh's family gets into the spirit of things. They are not die hard LSU fans...yet. Give Josh a little more time!!
And some more friends stopped by...clearly they are not rooting for the right team though! Wink. Despite the Arkansas apparel they are pretty darn cute. Love Riley's hat!
The food for tailgating included breakfast bread, chips, dip, cheese tray, rolls, jack Daniels brisket and pork loin, wild rice, and of course lots o'beverages and spirits!
