The SUPERHERO b-day party

Lucas turned four this weekend and I thought it was the best party yet. I felt guilty for not really doing much--we had the party at The Little Gym where they took care of all the games and activities. It worked out beautifully--I planned a superhero party and asked the kids to wear their favorite caped costume and the gym actually had a superhero warm-up activity, which was really cute.
The birthday boy himself was happy to be the center spotlight for the weekend--he enjoyed a birthday breakfast at Purple Cow where he was treated to a special whip-cream, sprinkle covered purple sundae, we had the actual party at the gym where he had a blast, and we had lots of fabulous presents to open Saturday night after things wound down. Here is a shot of some of the Super-kids: We had about five Spidermans (including Lucas), Supergal, Wonder woman, Super R, Batman, Superman shirts, and several more. (Trying to get them to all settle down and pose for a pic was a feat worth of a superhero!)
The picture below is blurry--but I love it because it captures the motion of all the kids going crazy on the trampoline. It was chaos.
And finally, the happy birthday boy himself:

Thanks again to Disco for helping me get such cute pics!

I have to say it was my favorite also. I just wish I would have walked the balance beam!!

LOL Jenn. We will have to take him to do real gymnastics sometime and we can walk the beam. I always loved that in high school. And the uneven bars...just thinking about how young and flexible I used to be is making me sad!
