A not-so-traditional Thanksgiving Day

For the first time in many years, we did not have the traditional family meal. Josh was on call at the hospital and I didn't want to go to the effort to cook the bird and fixins for just me and the kiddos, so instead we had frozen pizza and pears (as featured on Alex's plate above--plates were adorable, thanks again Mrs. Alison V. The kids loved them!) Not quite the same as dad's homemade turkey...Otherwise we had a fairly lazy day. We spent the morning with the BM crew taking pictures and playing (pictures to follow in another post). Lucas cracked me up when he showed up in the fairy outfit featured below. (Bad pic-but had to grab the camera fast and capture the moment!) I think the football and fairy wings is a nice touch. I hope everyone had a happy holiday!

Love the wings - he chooses the same ones every time he visits us. Can't wait to see the pics you took!
