Me: Lucas, fall is coming!
Lucas: (looking around) Where, mommy?
Then--on Saturday before the LSU game, we were at Scott's house where he has a large LSU tiger magnet and a hog magnet on his fridge (why does he even have the hog?? Oh yes, JG lives there too). Lucas was playing with them. I overheard a conversation that went roughly like this:
Lucas: Go hogs!
Scott: (picking Lucas up) Okay, we need to have a conversation. You see this (points to the hog) What is this?
Lucas: Hog
Scott: Right. And you see this (points to the tiger) What is this?
Lucas: Tiger
Scott: Correct. Now the hog and the tiger are NOT friends. So if you have to pick one, who do you pick?
Lucas: (grinning) TIGERS!
Scott: (very proud) Yes. That is correct. (Sets Lucas down as if the conversation is over.)
Lucas: (stands there a moment and then...) Go Hogs.
Scott: Get out of my kitchen boy.
I guess that is inevitable since we do live in hog country...he's breaking his daddy's (and Uncle' s)heart, though!

Not sure that this is appropriate for a 3 year old (almost) but perhaps it could be pointed out that tigers can eat hogs and thus are the superior animal......not to mention that they are much nicer looking. Kids usually go for the stronger, tougher animals!!! As uncle Scott will recall, kids always want to be the "toughy" choice.
I think Lloyd may have influenced the "Go Hogs"! Saturday afternoon he was telling Lucas to say "Go Hogs!" and asking Lucas which one he liked better (between Tigers & Hogs) until he said Hogs! :) LL is trying his hardest to make Luc a Razorback fan! :)
