I'm behind on posting again because we had such a busy weekend. Friday night we babysat and Lucas and Steele had a blast. Everything one did, the other quickly copied. During dinner they had to have the same cups, too (Steele brought her Dora cup, so naturally Lucas had to have his Diego cup) and they even had to take sips at the same time! They are too silly. Notice the completely nourishing and enriching meal of chicken nuggets and french fries that I served them =)And I was having a difficult time feeding baby Riley. Alex is still not really reaching and grabbing stuff alot, but Riley is several weeks older...so when I opened the baby food and put it on the highchair tray, I never expected a problem. Seconds later, I turned around to discover squash EVERYWHERE and a big grin on the babies face. And then I had flashbacks to similar food fights with Lucas....how quickly we blot it from our minds once they are past a certain stage! Anyway--Josh and I had the giggles (well, Josh had a manly laugh) for several minutes because I was such a mess. Thank goodness for wet wipes!

We laughed so hard about this too!!!! Mainly b/c it never even occurred to me to say anything - we got so used to the chaos and mess after just a few days of solid foods that it all seems natural now. Can you imagine how we would have reacted to this before kids? I think being moms gives us much more patience with "disasters" - as well as a sense of humor!
