We made the annual jaunt to the patch this year. I was heartbroken when Hidden Valley decided to call it quits last year (if you never made it to their farm--it was BEAUTIFUL.) But for the past two years we have gone to
Motley's Pumpkin Patch (they are normally a Christmas tree farm and are just now getting into the PP business) It has been fun--not even a glimmer of the sprawling beauty of Hidden Valley, but substitute a petting zoo and a rousing pig race and the experience ends up about even.

This picture is awful (from a
photog standpoint) but I had to include it since both boys were whining. It was too funny. The Buffy boys are big
wussies when it comes to being in the hay! (Not really--just Alex)

And here we have a pic of the fabulous pig races. We rooted for the purple pig (of course!) named Jimmy Dean (poor fella!) We loved the
tongue in cheek good humor of the swine races--with signs saying "no wagering please," "pig speedway," and "save a horse" it was very amusing.

Tammy
Swinette takes the lead!! JD--you lazy sow (although technically I think JD was a dude, but whatever)!!
