Kissy Kissy

For today's football outfit I chose a non-LSU set made by Kissy Kissy. I swear these are the softest outfits ever made for kids. I have several (all given as gifts as I could never bring myself to spend so much money on one outfit--but they are SOO cute)KK outfits and I love them all. This one has football players on the front and pants, but my favorite part is the little "touch down" on the back. Gotta love Alex's crazy hairdo as well.
Josh is getting pretty excited about the advent of football season. He actually suggested we clean the house tonight (shocker!!) so that we could put up the LSU tree and decorations. He also asked why I hadn't posted any pictures of Lucas in LSU gear (he's got plenty of outfits, too) and here is the reason: lately I have been letting Lucas choose his own outfits in the morning in an effort to encourage him to dress himself (this only works about fifty percent of the time). So far this week he has not selected a LSU related shirt despite my healthy prodding in that direction. And let me assure you--once a toddler has made up their mind about something there is NO changing it. At least he hasn't chosen to wear any weird combinations of clothes (like underwear on the outside or mittens on his ears) but I'm sure those days will come.

Years ago my friend, Lyn, allowed her three year old to choose his clothes for day care....or at least he insisted on choosing them and would change them if she dressed him. His combinations got so bad that she finally pinned a note on him saying "this was his idea, not mine!"
