Lucas turned one and a half this month and we marked the occasion by taking him to the doctor for his 18 month check up. Unfortunately I didn't realize that he got shots at this appointment, but he was all smiles anyway. He weighed in at 25 pounds--so he his growth has slowed somewhat. He is tall and lanky and still wearing 18 month clothing (thank you Leigh for all of Nate's stuff--Luc has an outfit for practically every day of the month!) The doctor asked us if he had about five or so words that he used regularly and we had to just laugh--he has more like fifty or so. His new favorites are "Ready?", "brush teeth," "Oh-wow," "ally" for alligator, he calls Hallie and my mothers dog Maggie by name and he answers questions by nodding his head yes or saying "no no". He can say his Abc's up to "c", he can count to two, he says "go Diego go" whenever he looks at his Diego shoes, and he sings "row row row" but can't quite manage to say "the boat" part of the song. He has alot of other things he says, but many of them are still Latin to us. Lately he is a total daddy's boy--he only wants Josh and it hurts my feelings, but I completely understand that it is just a phase. This morning he looked around for Josh and told me to "get daddy" several times, not understanding that daddy was at work. He is just like a sponge lately and it is such a cute phase.Tuesday, May 29, 2007

Well my kid still does not talk. She has no need for verbal communication since daddy does everything for her. Oh I lied she does love to say the word NO!! Which drives mommy crazy.
Ashley
your welcome about the wardrobe! nate is also slowing down a bit, so you might have to actually buy a fall wardrobe. and when nate says "no", he points his finger too which makes it even more fun!
