Spring Update

I've been a little awol again lately...I swear, one of these days I will get back into posting regularly. Probably not until I quit my job, though. I can't imagine what keeps me so busy (wink!) I always laugh at people who don't have kids who talk about how busy they really are. Oh, I know, to be fair--they ARE busy. But they don't get how none of that stuff ends when kids are born...you just add all the kid stuff on TOP of the regular living, and somehow you still manage it all. (Lots of alcohol, chocolate, and massages can help with the burden!) Anyway--spring is here...although with the heat the last few days it almost feels like we skipped spring and went straight to summer.
Spring and Fall are my two favorite seasons. I love things about both...but spring is all about new beginnings, and that is resonating with me more than ever this year; I have a new life growing inside me, Josh has a new job on the horizon (yes--he got an offer and signed his contract!! Major relief!), and overall things are changing daily for our family. There are so many fun things to do in the spring, as well. Of course, we hit Wye mountain again this year, and we have already been spending more time outside (Lucas has been terrorizing the frogs in the yard). I am looking forward to more beautiful spring days. Here is a recap of Easter/Wye mountain:
Alex had his first hunt. He was his usual happy go lucky self--he sucked at finding eggs, but didn't seem to mind since one egg was something new and cool. Meanwhile, Lucas, Jenn and I dyed eggs on Good Friday. Here was the end result:The kids got Easter goodies from more than just the bunny. Nanna, Mrs. Alison, their teachers at school, and Scott and Jenn all got them baskets. And we hunted eggs at multiple events, so we were eating yummy candy for days...err, the kids were. Not me =). Alex is enjoying his first peep courtesy of Nanna below (pretty sure that smile means he liked it!)
And here is Lucas hamming it up at Wye mountain.
