Feeder Fun

Munchkin makes this really cool mesh feeder for babies (thank Kara for the great gift). Alex is just now getting interested in holding it and trying to put it in his mouth. I currently have only tried chopped bananas or pears in it, but I am open to suggestions on what other types of food are good for it. Kara also got me a nifty food grinder to go with it, so I'm sure I can grind up just about anything and put it in the feeder for Alex to try. He should be cutting some teeth sometime soon, but for now he is chewing like a puppy on everything he can get into his mouth. His favorite thing is your fingers--so I am slightly grateful that we don't have teeth yet!

Glad you like them! They came highly recommended by some of our friends with older kids.

frozen banannas, or cold at least. peaches, and soft cantaloupe. cold or forzen is the key! we have a friend who's little girl ate bacon in hers...she'd just suck all the bacon goodness through the holes. crazy!!

Little man liked avocado in his mesh feeders. Bananas were the fav, though! Steamed sweet potatoes, broccoli, or carrots work well too (mushy the better!).

Thanks everyone for the good suggestions! Will give it all a try asap. The bacon thing made me laugh out loud, Leigh.
