Tulips and tubes

I came home from work the other day to find some "just because" tulips from Josh and Lucas. It was a nice treat--it's been eons since I've gotten fresh flowers from the hubbie. They were very pretty--purple and yellow (don't know why they picked those colors...wink, wink) and Lucas kept trying to destroy them. I managed to catch one shot of him "smelling" one just before he ripped all the petals off. This is not encouraging for good behavior when his baby brother arrives...

On another note, Lucas got ear tubes this week. He has basically sustained an ear infection since December of this year and it has been a battle--multiple rounds of meds, shots (oh, the screaming!!), drops, you name it. We were fed up with the whole thing, so it was relief for the doctor to say it was tube time. But it was also a little scary since it is a procedure that requires your child to be put under. Lucas came out of "surgery" throwing up and crying--it broke my heart! Thankfully later that day he was back to his same old self (and tricks!) Keep your fingers crossed that the tubes go to work and keep our child ear infection free!
