Happy Fourth!

We had a relatively low profile fourth of July this year. We spent most of the day at home chilling. Scott joined us for breakfast and got to witness first hand what a morning with Lucas is like. He is still exhibiting some terrible two behavior (Lucas, not Scott.) We are trying really hard to curb his impulse to throw whatever food he doesn't want to eat on the floor--but have had little success. He thinks it is a game. But Cori enjoys cleaning up the debris. (The dogs have been banished outside during mealtimes--if they are present at all Lucas takes great joy in feeding them everything on his tray). Lucas took a monster nap after lunch and then we headed out to the country for food and fireworks. Lucas and Steele had a blast together as usual and Lucas got cranky just before the fireworks started. I was surprised that he wasn't scared of the noise from the fireworks--but he loved them. I have a feeling next year we will have trouble keeping him out of the middle of it all.
