It was a very peaceful, relaxing day this year for Mother's day. Josh made my favorite breakfast--creamed eggs. We enjoyed attending the blue jean service at church (where I cried like a baby when they played a sweet song about motherhood and showed slides of moms and their families--what a sap I have turned into!) Afterwards, we packed a picnic lunch and headed to the Old Mill.It was really windy out, but other than that, perfect weather for tromping around the mill. Lucas had more fun feeding the birds and squirrels (they were very brave--the squirrel practically ate at our table with us and really seemed to dig Fritos) while I just enjoyed snapping pictures and being with my family.
All that running around wore us out, so it was home for family nap time, and then yardwork afterwards. We capped the day off with a Survivor Finale dinner with Scott and Jenn. Would have been a perfect day if our fav survivor won, but alas, she was runner up. But it was one of the best seasons of Survivor in a long time.
