Just a couple days ago (and like one post ago) I was commenting on how ready I was for spring....but I have to say that having a random snow day wasn't too awful today. Mainly because it was the best kind of snow day--yesterday it was in the sixties, this morning we had a nice blanket of pristine white snow. It lasted just long enough to get some pictures, throw a few snowballs, and get a cold red nose. By afternoon the yard looked as though it had never snowed. (Hence no nasty slushy ice and dirty brown snow!!)I woke Lucas up while the snow was still falling and told him I had a surprise for him. We looked out the window and he was so excited. I promised we could go play after breakfast (big mistake--he refused to eat he was so pumped) and we got all bundled up and trudged outside. He immediately discovered that snow was "good" and decided to eat as much as he could. He also had fun trying to catch snowflakes with his tongue. It was weird to see snow on top of the bright flowers that had popped out in the last week (they got tricked into thinking it was spring!) Cali and Hallie romped in the powder, too--they were particulaly frisky this morning. Overall this is the only kind of snow day I ever want to have!

it was such a pretty morning...i was shocked this morning when i saw that it was snowing!
