Our house was full of tension Saturday night as LSU battled Florida. Scott made his gumbo for luck, and Jenn bought the fabulous cake pictured above (we devoured the Florida side at half time hoping it would inspire a better second half). Lucas was unable to catch most of the game since it was past his bedtime, but he wandered around chanting "go tigers" and "LSU" before he was whisked off to sleep. During the game there was much nail biting, cursing, and screaming, and a bout of supersticious hat wearing (Josh, Scott, and Jenn took turns wearing different LSU tiger helmets and hats during the plays. If LSU did well, they swapped hats at the end of each play to the hilarity of everyone else.) Meanwhile, Lucas wasn't sleeping well with all the hoopla and in general just seems more crankly the last few days. We are hoping it is just extreme teething and will pass quickly. He has also refused to nap recently which leads to a VERY crankly Lucas come bedtime. Hopefully this is all just the result of mommy and daddy having crazy schedules lately and not a sign that he is giving up naps for good!

Wanted to let you know that we are going through the same issues with Raeden. Does not want to take a nap or go to sleep at night. I am hoping it is just a phase because no one told me about this one.
