Luc's first circus

This past Saturday we took Lucas to the Shriner's Circus--his very first big top adventure. I was nervous that he might not be interested in the acts, but Lucas did wonderfully. He particularly loved the elephants and ponies and had very little interest in the trapeze acts. Every time the crowd clapped he got so excited and began clapping proudly as well. Of course, he loved the food--Josh bought nachos, fries, and cotton candy--all of which Lucas eagarly gobbled up. By intermission Lucas was beginning to look like he was in a sugar coma, so we took him to meet the clowns. He was a little nervous at first, but then warmed up to one clown in particular. After intermission was a spactacular magical act--during which I don't think Lucas moved a muscle he was so into the show! We left just as the last act was closing and Luc fell asleep in the car before we left the parking lot. Overall it was a great experience--Josh and I enjoyed the show alot and Lucas had a blast.
