Scott and Jenn get married in less than a week now!!! Crazy how fast time has flown by. Several weekends ago Aunt Mary and I co-hosted a couples luau shower for them, and it was a blast. I thought everything turned out wonderfully; the food was excellent, the decorations were too cute, and the guests really hammed it up in their Hawaiian best. Below is a shot of the AWESOME tiki-hut that dad built to go on my bar. It really set the atmosphere. He hand made it from real bamboo sticks and leaves.

We had kabobs, tropical tenderloin, assorted fruit, dips, tropical salad, shrimp, and a festive cake to munch on for the event. Dad made cocktails/mocktails and we had tea and lemonade in the beverage dispensers that Aunt Mary bought for the wedding. I heart them--they are so pretty! (pictures at the very end)

Aunt mary and I both got creative with the decorations--she made the awesome fish centerpiece for the main food table, and I created the beta-fish vase below. And the betas made great party favors for the guests with children. (thankfully as I did not want to be stuck with any!)

The cake was fun. I had seen recipies like this several times and figured what the heck, I'd try it myself. Thought it turned out pretty cute.

More pics of the guests below. Thanks again to Aunt Mary for co-hosting the event. It was fun to do and attend!

Love the pics - and the party was FUN! The one of the two kiddos was a fav for sure - I want a copy. Also liked the one of alex and jen. And the one of your parents was great too. Heck, all of them were great! But those 3 stuck out as awesome. And of course Guster Pepper Lunchbox was super cute as well. Thanks for the fish :)
